Without Shores

A deeply personal exhibition by Alexander Ponomarev, an artist and sailor. The title of the project directly reflects Ponomarev’s own perception of his work, which transcends boundaries and knows no limits. The rhythmic ebb and flow of the sea, the formidable might of the ocean, and the relentless movement of glaciers serve as powerful metaphors for eternity in the eyes of the artist.

In our multimedia and lightning design for the show, our goal was to visually manifest this metaphor. Through scaled video installations, we expanded the exhibition hall, creating an impression of boundlessness and spaciousness. Simultaneously, we employed intimate solutions for other multimedia objects, employing small diagonal screens akin to hand holes. This approach fostered a dynamic sense of scale, effectively guiding visitors’ attention throughout the exhibition.
