Following the renovation, Ivanovo Railway Station, an iconic constructivist monument, not only reclaimed its historical appearance but also embraced a new role as an urban attraction. One of the waiting areas was transformed into an art space, adding to the station’s allure. The station’s revitalized image served as the catalyst for the development of a modern regional brand.
During opening, visitors were greeted with a captivating spatial audiovisual installation that was specifically crafted for the project. Our responsibility involved developing and executing the technical design for this multimedia installation within the renovated space. Considering the transitional nature of the venue, we suggested a user-friendly interface that emphasizes efficiency and simplicity. As a result, we devised a six-channel audio system that incorporated the clatter of train wheels and the sounds of textile machines, creating an immersive auditory experience. Additionally, nine screens were strategically placed, allowing visitors to explore unique archival materials that documented the rich history of the railway station.
